What
good is research if it doesn’t help you make a decision?
In order
to be useful, research must provide complete and accurate information,
information you can use to make decisions, with confidence that you can
rely on it.
The questions we ask
determine the range of answers we get. It is our job to assure that you
are asking the right questions, in the right way, so you can have
confidence that you will truly understand the issues you face. We approach
research from two important perspectives:
First, we believe research must be eminently practical.
Research findings must focus on how they impact your
objectives, must be solution oriented, and presented in a format that is easy to
understand. Findings must be actionable, that is, they must tell you what action
you need to take to meet your objectives.
We work closely with our clients
to establish the information required to meet their research objectives.
We then devise the best research
methodology, often working backward from the decisions that need to be
made. We help our clients refine
their information requirements and, ultimately, we deliver information
in a format most conducive to completing the task or making decisions.
We listen to our clients’
challenges and opportunities and, then, develop customized approaches to
establishing what information is required, how best to acquire it, and how it
can best be used to help them develop strategies for success. We have done
this across many industries for over nineteen years.
Second, we believe research
findings must be easily understandable.
Several
years ago an energy client engaged a nationally known research firm to
conduct a customer
satisfaction study. When the results were
presented, the client's staff found themselves at a loss to understand what they
had been told. They
engaged us to explain the findings and to help them understand how to use this
information to improve customer satisfaction.
Clients stay with us because we can tell them in plain English what we have
found and how they they can use it to better meet their objectives. |
